Don't be fooled by those genuine smiles,
things are so different across the miles.
You'll only see what you wanna see,
and believe in love that will never be.

Your days will be endless, your nights so long,
because in his world you don't belong.
He'll love you yes, in times that are tough,
but a little love is just not enough.

He'll make you promises so you won't cry,
convince you to stay, or he'll just die?
Now that one calls for an LOL!
Doesn't he know you're already in hell?

There's so many things you may never know.
He'll choose what to keep and what to let go.
He'll promise to take you by the hand,
and paint you a picture of the perfect man.

You'll think that your love has really grown,
but still you sit there, sad and alone.
And when he sleeps, it's not with you,
there's someone else he's clinging to.

And more than once he'll apologize,
so you'll forget the hurt and lies.
Then when you're smiling once again,
he'll tell himself you're just a friend.

Until you can look into those eyes,
the computer screen is his disguise.
He'll love you yes, in times that are tough,
but across the miles, you're not enough.

Very few people would take the chance,
to give it all up for a little romance.
It's easy to do when behind a screen,
but things are not always as they seem.

Don't waste anymore of your precious time,
open your heart and you're sure to find,
true love does exist that's honest and real,
the kind of love you can actually feel.

You're just too wonderful to sit and wait,
so move on now before it's too late.
Either he loves you, and he wants you now,
there's no in between when you make a vow.
